The first bad thing that you can do is liposuction. In a day and age where everything is about instant gratification, it makes sense why this might seem so appealing to most people. Liposuction is where you have surgeons cut into your body and physically remove the extra fat from your body. Although it’s true that this is a very fast method, it is also very harmful to your body! After all, do you think your body likes to be cut open, pumped full of drugs, and then have stuff removed? Not really!

There are a number of procedures like this that are intended to make your stomach smaller one way or another. The whole idea is that if you have a smaller stomach, you won’t be able to eat as much. While this does work, it is not much better than liposuction. Even though you aren’t having anything removed from your body, you are still having your body cut open and unnatural things placed inside of it. Besides that, this is expensive!

Now let me talk about one of the unhealthy ways to lose weight that most people don’t think about- supplements and pills! Over the last few years, these have exploded and are all over the place. Just about every health and nutrition store sells some type of supplement that’s supposed to help increase your metabolism and help you burn more fat.
While there is some science behind these working, you have to be careful. Don’t try to take more than the prescription, and definitely don’t use one that hasn’t been tested by the FDA or anything!
Finally, let’s talk about exercise. Yes, there are some unhealthy ways to lose weight through exercise, although that might sound weird! You see many people try to exercise way too much. They will go from not exercising at all to working out for 2 hours a day. That is almost guaranteed to result in a broken bone, sprained ankle, or some other type of issue.

These will make you feel full but they are extremely low in calories. You should still eat some dense foods such as meats, but just make sure that they are not your staples! Instead, they should supplement the vegetables that you are eating.
This isn’t one of the unhealthy ways to lose weight, and here’s why. Your body was designed to take in a lot of veggies. These are the most nutrient-rich foods on the planet, but again they’re low in calories. They give you almost everything that your body needs to function well!
Now let’s talk about exercise. Even though it can be very bad for you if you do too much of it, working out for at least 30 minutes a day is a perfect way to help you burn fat. Here’s why:
Exercise has a lot of health benefits. Exercise is known to increase metabolism, flush out toxins, provide your body more energy, improve digestion, and a number of other things. The main reason that it’s helpful for losing weight is that it increases your metabolism.
The faster your metabolism, the faster you lose weight. Although it will never let you lose weight as fast as some of the unhealthy ways to lose weight, it is still much better than nothing! Who do you think will burn fat faster (assuming diets are the same)- someone who watches TV all night, or something who goes to the gym for a 30 minute run and then lifts weights for 20 minutes?

So basically, it’s crucial! That’s why I wanted it to be the first part of this article. If you really want to lose weight in 4 months, you should plan on getting at least 8 hours a night. Seven hours is okay, but definitely shoot for at least 8 if you can.

Another crucial part of losing weight fast is exercise. Whether I’m coaching my clients how to lose 10 pounds in a week or how to lose 35 pounds in 3 months, I always say that exercise is crucial!

Veggies are mainly there to provide your vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Meanwhile the meats and fish can give you the protein and fat that your body needs to properly rebuild itself each night while you sleep.
Stay away from those empty calories! Even fruit has a lot of calories, so don’t eat too much of it.

You may already know that you are what you eat. In fact, I can almost guarantee that you’ve heard this expression before, right?
Well the fact of the matter is that your diet makes up about 85% of how healthy you are. If you have a great diet and optimal eating patterns, you are probably going to be healthy.
Here’s a guy who claimed to have great results just with a change in diet:
The main problem with the U.S. population is that they are very misinformed on this type of stuff! The food pyramid seems to change every year, yet it still does not accurately represent how we should be eating.
Similarly, there are dozens of new diets every year. These are based on all kinds of weird things, and frankly they just don’t work.
Instead, there are just a few principles for you to follow. These are pretty simple, but you’d be amazed at their power to help you lose 10 pounds in a week.
Here are the main things to follow:
Avoid gluten (found in wheat, barley, and other grains)
Avoid dairy (eggs are okay)
Fast for at least 16 hours a day
Consume most of your calories after 6pm
Eat high quality protein-dense foods (steaks, chicken, fish)
Eat lots of vegetables, vegetable juices, and some fruits
That’s about it!
Okay, so it could be a simpler list. But these 6 things are all you really need to learn how to lose 10 pounds in a week. Let me explain why, starting with gluten.
Without going very deep into science and human anatomy, let me just say that gluten is nasty stuff. It is basically the chemical weapon that plants use to wage war on its predators. Any time we eat foods that contain gluten (such as breads, pastas, pastries, etc.), the food goes to war against us. Gluten has been known to cause obesity, inability to gain weight, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and a number of other things.
In fact, you can basically call it the sworn enemy of the human body…. Yet most Americans consume heaps of it every single day! I remember as a kid, I was told to eat 6-11 servings of carbohydrates like bread every day. No wonder our country is so obese!
I know I know- you love bread and pasta, right? Well I love this stuff too, as well as cookies, cake, etc. But the bottom line is that it does horrible things to your body. If you’re serious about learning how to lose 10 pounds in a week, heed my advice!
Next, let’s talk about the dangers of diary. Again, I know that most people love milk- I do too! What is better than a tall glass of milk with fresh chocolate chip cookies?
Well here’s the thing. Most studies show that milk and other dairy products have a number of negative effects on the body. It has been linked to a number of conditions including obesity, cancer, and even osteoporosis!
I know that this seems counter-intuitive, but think about it like this. For one thing, osteoporosis rates are the highest in countries that consume a lot of dairy. Strange, right?
Also consider that there is absolutely no reason why a human should have to consume another animal’s milk to get the nutrition it needs. No other animal on the planet does this- NO other animal! Why would humans be any different?
Even if humans were supposed to drink cow’s milk- by the time you get it into your body, it’s been processed a million times. The few health benefits that can come from milk are destroyed when you process it (such as pasteurization).

Now let’s talk about one of my favorites- fasting. In addition to what I’ve already talked about, many doctors will tell you that fasting has no health benefits. In fact, some will tell you that it have extremely negative effects on your body and you should avoid it!
Well here’s the thing. Not only does fasting help you lose weight, but it has been shown to reap enormous health benefits. Fasting has been used to cure cancer, heart disease, gout, hemorrhoids, and just about anything else you can think of.
This makes sense when you think about it. Let’s say that you want to learn how to lose 10 pounds in a week. To do this, your body has to heal itself, right? I mean it has to flush out all of that extra fat sitting in your body.
When you fast, all of the energy normally spent on digesting food is used elsewhere. Generally it’s used to heal the body of any ailments that it has!
Fasting for 16 hours is not letting your body go into starvation mode. In fact, you have to fast for at least 3 days before that happens. However, fasting for 16 hours does allow your body to heal itself until you break the fast.
This is crucial! Since you’re trying to lose 10 pounds in a week, you want your body to operate as efficiently as possible. What better way than to fast?
Just make sure that you don’t exercise while you are completely fasted. This can be detrimental, so you should at least eat a small meal before you work out.
Let’s talk about consuming most of your calories after 6pm. Again, this contradicts what most people say. They’ll tell you to eat small meals throughout the day, and eat just a little bit of food at night.
Well here’s the thing- would you rather be a cow or a lion? Cows graze all day- they’re slow, lazy, and have no energy. Nobody wants to be a cow.
Or you can be a lion. Lions don’t graze all day. Heck they don’t even eat every day. But when they eat, they EAT. They pig out- or, lion out? Anyways, they consume all of their food at night and then go to sleep.
We should do the same thing! If you’re honest about learning how to lose 10 pounds in a week, follow the path of the lion. Your body doesn’t need you to eat all day long to have a normal metabolism. Eating all day just keeps your body’s energy going to your stomach AND makes you sluggish. You won’t do as well at work, during your workouts, or anything else.
Now let’s talk about my favorite food group- protein! Seriously, I love this stuff (as I think most guys do, right?) You just can’t beat a good steak or salmon filet- and it’s good for you!
There are a lot of reasons why you need protein- rebuild dead cells, recuperate after a hard workout, fuel your brain, etc. It’s the building block of the body, and it’s crucial to help you lose 10 pounds fast.
Also, don’t listen to the myth that your body can only absorb a certain amount of protein at once. If that was the case, a lion would be in HUGE trouble. The same with humans! Before we could refrigerate our food, all of the meat was eating right away! It’d be a design flaw of nature if we couldn’t digest that protein.
You need protein- period. If you can, try to get the highest quality meats and fish that you can. Organic is the best, and know that some things are healthier than others.
Finally, let’s talk veggies and fruits. Fruits are good for you, but veggies should be your staple. They are jam-packed full of nutrients, and they have extremely low calorie counts!
There are a lot of ways to get your veggies, too. For example, my personal favorite is to put a ton of them into a good juicer. This allows you to get the nutrients but it doesn’t make you feel full. It also allows your body to quickly absorb the nutrients without spending a lot of energy extracting them from the fiber.
Honestly, this is the best thing you can do. If you’re serious about asking how to lose 10 pounds in a week, get a great juicer!
You don’t have to do that, but I just highly recommend it. You can always eat the veggies whole, and the best thing about that is they will fill you up very fast.
With fruits, I recommend not juicing them too often. They can have high sugar counts, and sucking down the equivalent of 5 oranges worth of sugar is not a good idea. Sure it is natural sugar, but too much natural sugar is still bad!

If you have done a lot of exercising before, you’ve probably experienced the fact that it will help you sleep better at night.
The fact of the matter is these are just a few of the benefits of exercise. I’m not going to go into all of them, but I will talk about some of the major reasons why it is helpful in your quest to lose 10 pounds in a week.
For one thing, exercise is the best way to boost your metabolism. It is not uncommon for one hour of exercise to help you burn at least 600 more calories than normal. In the long term, one hour of exercise might help you to burn over 1000 calories more than you normally would! This is because your metabolism stays high for a long time, not just for the 60 minutes or whatever period that you are exercising.
Since losing weight is basically a numbers game, the more calories you burn, the more weight you lose. Anyone learning how to lose 10 pounds in a week should know that you have to burn 35,000 more calories than you take in. That is a lot, but is obtainable with the right mindset and right actions.

Also, as we age our muscles will deteriorate. The best way to counteract that is through a weight lifting program of some type. Thus, building strength should be incorporated into your lifestyle. I am teaching this while you are trying to learn how to lose 10 pounds in a week, but in reality you should continue it for rest of your life.
Finally, let’s discuss stretching. Even though stretching is not exactly the same as exercise, it is still very important. Stretching is the best way to keep your body flexible. If you do not stretch on a daily basis, your muscles will start to shrivel up and become tight. If you go for months or even years without stretching, those muscles will eventually become very tight and easily torn. This is why even a 10 or 15 minute stretching session each day can lead to a much healthier, more comfortable life.
Even though exercise is great, there is one more thing that I want to discuss in this article. If you’re serious about learning how lose 10 pounds in a week, you have to learn the benefits of sleep and rest. Even though most of us like to skimp on sleep, this is a huge health mistake!

Most of us like to sleep. So the question is, why do so many of us deny our body of what it craves?
The fact of the matter is that if you are not getting at least seven or eight hours of sleep a night, your body is not happy with you. It needs that much sleep or more to be able to function properly. When I say function properly, I mean everything from your brain to your muscles to the digestion system.
If you’re going to lose 10 pounds in a week, you need a body that is going to be efficient. You cannot have a body that is lacking energy or is tired all of the time. I understand that it is tempting to stay up late watching TV or reading, but it does a lot more harm to your body than you might think.
Besides just affecting your energy levels, think about how lack of sleep can affect your muscles. If you are working out on a daily basis, your muscle fibers are getting torn. When they are torn, they need rest so that they can rebuild and become stronger than before. This is a worldwide accepted principle in many bodybuilders were only exercise a certain part of their body one day a week!
That’s why you should get plenty of rest every night. When you get at least seven hours of sleep every night, your body can never have enough energy to rebuild these muscle fibers. As these fibers become stronger, you burn more calories so you are more likely to lose 10 pounds quickly.
Something else that you might not think about is simply your mood. When you don’t get enough sleep, are you happy or cranky? Almost everyone is unhappy, whether it is immediately upon waking or 10 hours later. Your body’s hormones are off balance and part of the way they we generally respond is to be very unhappy.
Although this may seem trivial, think about it in terms of your workout or diet. You’re learning how to lose 10 pounds in a week but you are very cranky. Even though you know that you shouldn’t eat any cookies or drink that soda, you’re in a bad mood and think that it will help you feel better. In the long run, it’s just going to make you unhealthy, put you in a worse mood, and may even cause a sugar crash.
I understand that most people have to wake up early for their job. I personally try to get up at 5 AM every day because I am extremely effective and productive in the morning. That said, for me to get 8 hours of sleep means I’m going to bed at nine o’clock at night! That’s fine, because I know that I will probably live a longer, healthier life because of this good habit.
